$3,150.00
The 1934 $500 Federal Reserve Note, part of a high-denomination series, was primarily circulated among banks and the Federal Reserve before being withdrawn in 1969. First issued in 1918, the 1934 redesign replaced John Marshall’s portrait with that of President William McKinley on the obverse. This edition features a minimalist reverse design, displaying only the denomination in all four corners and at the center. Approximately 75,000 of these notes are estimated to remain, primarily with collectors. This series also introduced $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 denominations. Certified 1934 $500 notes graded PMG 53 are notable for minimal wear, green Treasury seals, black district seals, and green serial numbers.
