A beautiful example of a McPherson Deuce. It is well embossed (as attested to by PMG’s comment “Great Embossing”), nicely margined, and displaying the colors and bright paper of a note which left the press this morning. This outstanding Treasury Note bears the portrait of Union General McPherson – he was the highest ranking Federal Officer to die in combat during the Civil War. PMG awarded this Treasury with the “Exceptional Paper Quality” designation.
