Fr. 1194 $50 1882 Gold Certificate PCGS 40 – XF
A broadly margined, nicely colored $50 Gold Certificate. The orange back has retained 100% of its brilliant hue as has the red Treasury seal on the face. It is a very nearly ideal example of the grade. The Lyons-Treat signature combination on this note is one of the scarcer combinations for 1882 $50 Golds. To date, about four dozen notes are known.
