This is a delightful example of the rare and Extremely Fine Friedberg number for the $100 Gold series, featuring full margins and excellent color. It is one of only 30 serial numbers recorded in the most recent Track & Price census. The front displays the bust of Thomas Hart Benton, who served in both the U.S. Senate from 1821 to 1851 and the U.S. House of Representatives from 1853 to 1855. The reverse showcases an eagle perched on fasces. A stunning piece that would make a beautiful addition to any collection.
