FR. 139 – 1880 $20 Legal Tender PMG 20 – VF

This is the second rarest Friedberg number in the Alexander Hamilton portrait design $20 Legal Tenders. There are 21 confirmed examples known, and none are Uncirculated. The large spiked brown seal at the right end makes this a very distinctive type. The paper exhibits much body, the printing clarity is excellent, and the ink colors are sharp.
